Birmingham is a huge city with many things to do, see and eat. Over my last 3 years in this city I have visited my fair share of restaurants and here are some of my top and bottom picks.
First we'll start with my favourite pasta places because I'm very much a pasta enthusiast.
Ask Italian- Has great drinks and selection of pasta. They also delicious Italian desserts.
The pasta is made fresh to order so wait time can take a while.

Order- Tiramisu

Order- Linguini Con Frutti di Mare
Order- Purple Basil Pesto Genovese W/ Chicken
Next pasta place: Bella Italia- Another great place for my fellow pasta lovers, with a few selective desserts.

Order- Calamari with Pollo Cacciatore

order- Gamberoni

Order- Cookie Dough
Next on the list is my favourite Asian food spots:
Toppokki- This restaurant is an authentic Korean food place serving flavourful meals.
Order- Chicken noodles with a side of cheese toppokki and pork gyozas.
Pepper chef- A Chinese restaurant in the heart of China town in Birmingham. Also full of flavours and an extensive menu.

Order: Hot and Sour minced pork noodle soup
Wu Shuang Café- A Hong Kong style restaurant with a great selection of street food to choose from.

Order- Pork ramen with a side of Vietnam sausages and popcorn chicken.
Siamais- This restaurant is actually the only place i have placed in my worst category. Although the Thai restaurant has a variety of food items on the menu, i had an interesting experience.

I went to this restaurant for a friends birthday and was excited as we had heard great things about the food.
However, when the starters came out I ordered the spring rolls and found a long tying string in the food.

After the commotion with the starters we decided to order mains to see if we would enjoy the food but unfortunately it was bland, cold and lacked exotic flavours that are usually included in Thai food.
A positive outcome was that they took off all the food off the bill so we only paid for the drinks.
Korean BBQ Tayudo- This might be my all time favourite place to visit when we want a simple yet impactful place to eat.

Korean BBQ offers an all you can eat meat and sides.
Hot Pot- The perfect place to eat during the cold weather.
Hot pot also has a variety of meats and sides to choose from but the food are all cooked in a hot flavoured broth of your choice.
Aluna- Pan Asian restaurant and cocktail bar. I went to this restaurant for my birthday and had a great time. The atmosphere, food, drinks and vibes were impeccable.
Order: Spring rolls, gyozas, stir fried prawns in garlic and steak
These are just some of my picks of restaurants. There are still many places left for me to review. Keep am eye out for other posts on my food adventures.
